Description

Taylor and Francis, a small publisher, brought in Richard M. Cole & Associates to adaptively reuse adjoining two- and three-story warehouses into a 15,000-square-foot office and distribution center.

RMC&A's design solution made full use of the existing multiple levels. The general office was arranged in an open setting on the lower level. The president's office and conference room were situated on a mezzanine level overlooking the general office. To overcome the limited ceiling height on the mezzanine, the ceiling in the president's office was extended through the second floor, and a skylight was added at the roof, creating a 20-foot ceiling.
